If you want a great writeup of Mr. Icke (and a bunch of other conspiracy folk), check out "Them" by Jon Ronson. It's a funny, but chilling, look at extremists and conspiracy theorists. If you get a chance to see it, Ronson did a documentary series called "Secret Rulers of the World" for the BBC that Trio plays every few months. It's amazing, and Ronson does a good job of showing the humanity of those we normally relegate to "monster" status without condoning their extremism.

I'm suprised that you were turned off by the partisanship of the CD, Steve. You're a Green Party supporter yourself, I would assume that the message was similar enough to your own political preference that it wouldn't rub you the wrong way. Or was it that it was political at all? Political music, transparently so or otherwsie, is pretty common isn't it?

Love that Joseph Arthur song. Nice to see that you like it too. I didn't remember it from 'Saved.' I also discovered it through a movie though. The released version of Doug Liman's 'The Bourne Identity' ends with Moby's Extreme Ways. On the DVD they have the original ending (far superior IMHO), set to this song by Joseph Arthur. Would have made a great movie even better had they left it in.
