Note the spelling of 'honour', after all, it is the Best Canadian Weblog category. Acts of Volition, so far humble by necessity, not by design, has been graced with a nomination for The Bloggies.
Nikolai Nolan's 2002 Weblog Awards are a great way to discover new sites. I had never seen Loobylu before - beautiful. I was also glad to see DollarShort.org in the best-designed category (although I think Sylloge should be in there too).
If we win, I'm not going to tell Rob or Matt (they'll never find out), and I'm going to use the prize money to buy another copy of Sam Brown's Exploding Dog book. The best part about the Canadian category of the Bloggies is that the prize money ($20.02) which is intended simply as a token of appreciation, takes on significantly more value when converted to Canadian Funds. Thank you, internation industrial complex.
To the 'little people', you can expect to be thanked if we win. If not, better luck next year.

First, I would like to say we could clean up in the "<B><I>Best tagline of a weblog</I></B>" but I got tired reading all the categories and never considered casually asking for a nomination.<P><P>Secondly, Steve, I encourage you to buy that book. I've already purchased and enjoyed it, and Sam Brown deserves every penny of it.

Yeah, I gave my first copy to my girlfriend. It is a fantasic book. Everyone should buy it. It really is a fantastic set of illustrations.

Amazing coincidence, I gave my copy to my girlfriend too. But, that was the original intention, I had to carefully read it without creasing the smooth cover.<P><P>I liked the story with the two tombstones.

Sorry to busrt your bubble, especially since you've already spent the money, but only the Weblog of the Year winner gets the cash.

Oh, then can someone lend me twenty bucks.

We didn't win, but we found some cool sites via the other nominees and winners. And, dude, Wil Wheaton!

At least you're on the A-list now.
And I recently offered Dorrell 20 bucks to write "The Zyphoid Process 2" (I looked for the link to the original Zyphoid Process, Steven, but couldnt find it, you could link it up for me, and when so doing remove this note, if you are so inclined) and if you get him to write it, consider the money yours. Or his, or whatever.
Ten each or something. Half-way there. Or something.
