mount a rob

You know what I mean.

I’ve just moved into my quaint little dorm room in the fine Thornton house of Mt. A, it’s very nice. And it smells like paint.

I believe we get the ritual ‘welcome spanking’ sometime this weekend. Wish me luck.

  1. Only one rule that you must follow while living in a co-ed dorm. Don’t date anyone in the building, no matter how hot.

    I had this told to me, and ignored it. Now i’m telling you this, so you can ignore it. But trust me, its a certain recipe for disaster.

  2. Have a good school year man. When you come back this summer, we could all move to the lake and rent a house that my brother used to rent and have parties at. Then we could get jobs as painters and watch lesbians dyke out but then that exchange student chick with the big boobs will come back, and you have to practice having sex with some band chick, and for some reason everyone is calling me Stiffler and …….. wait a minute.

    Nevermind.

  3. Sorry Bacon, I’m removed the story and posts for now. See the notice on the front page.

    If you wish to discuss the story, there are several threads at MetaFilter on the topic.

  4. After talking to Steven about that, I think he was right in hiding that for now. The conversation will be more intelligent with the introduction of facts. AOV will tactfully introduce the subject at a better time.

    For now, I will use Jevon’s fine tag:

    <end of conversation>

  5. I understand your sentiment, and it is your site so you can do what you want. I submit however that the reason I and others may have posted is because we do want to discuss what is known/speculated, and we want to discuss it with the other readers of acts of volition.

    I appreciate the link to Metafilter, but I won’t be using it. I’ll wait to discuss it with people I “know” from Acts, as I am interested in their personal takes on the issues involved.

  6. Charlie, if the aov readers were gathered in my living room today discussing and speculating about todays disaster, I would tell them to shut up for now.

    I appreciate that you wish to discuss with the aov readers. However, I’m upset by what happened today, and while I think discussion is important in dealing with an event like this, I’m not ready to have it happen on my website. Not yet at least.

  7. ok. I was posting just as you were deleting which caused interesting results, such as the post not being there but my reply to said post being there, and the notice wasn’t there yet either.

  8. My apologies Bacon. Your replies are still stored in our database, but are hidden. If you would like, you can send me your email address at steven@actsofvolition.com and I will send you a copy of your posts in the case that you may want to repost if/when we eventually do discuss the topic here on aov.

  9. no, it’s ok. That wasn’t supposed to be a complaint. It was just an explanation as to why I seemed to be confused by the obvious earlier. Everything’s fine. 😉
