I have heard of this, and it some what happend to me, about every day or so my phone rings and no one is there, then i here like a hum and then nothing then a dialtone... i am guessing its the dsl modem doing it, but we only have the 1 line int he house, phone/adsl running on the same line...

I was reading an artical about a virus that can make your dsl dial to a number some how, and i have no idea how it could make it do it, but i am going by what i was reading... Any how i suggest you flip out to islandtel because you could have been in alot of shit with the police for the crank call so they think it was...

Stupid islandtel, they got every thing all messed up and wired every witch way... i can see there network on phones and internet messing up big time soon!

Really? You don't remember where you read this article about the DSL dial out crack, do you? I'd like to see it. I mean 911 is a pretty distinct number to dial, hardly random. Although, if it was always dialing random numbers, statistically it will hit 911 before any seven digit phone number.

(ps. Nice to see you migrate over from Dizzy Block Andrew.)

I've noticed a decline in island tel's 'high speed internet' 's actual speed lately...been laggy on transfers and such.
